Odessa

My name is Odessa. I am a 20-year-old student currently enrolled at Utrecht University. Next to studying, I love to exercise (volleyball, soccer, and dancing) and be creative (make music, photography).* I live in Utrecht for over a year now in a spacious house with eight other students. Before moving to Utrecht, I lived with my parents, brother and sister in a small village close to Utrecht. Throughout my childhood, we have had several pets (chickens, cats, hamsters, fish and more). Now we have a 10-year-old Shih Tzu called Joy.

I have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs, so when I heard that we would get Joy I guess you could say a dream came true. I have realized that even though I visit my family as often as I can, I still miss walking a dog in the park and a dog jumping around in my room. It would therefore be the perfect solution to help other people by taking care of their dog(s) when they are short on time. It's kind of a win-win situation where the owner gets a dogsitter and I get to spend more time with my favorite animals!

With me you don't have to worry about your dog not having a good time. I love to be outside and take one or more long walks (or run) with your dog, for instance through the Wilhelminapark which is one minute away from my house or through Amelisweerd and Rhijnauwen. But also sitting on the couch petting the dog sitting on my leg is something I am delighted to do!

* Due to the coronavirus I am not allowed to go to my soccer/volleybal/dance practises. Currently, I am also not taking any classes at university, therefore I am often available as a dogsitter/dogwalker.
