Sophie

Hello pet owners! My name is Sophie, and I am a 26-year-old from Australia. I am a Dutch-Australian dual citizen, however my Dutch lvel is B2 level. I graduated from my Master's in animal behaviour and animal welfare at Utrecht University in December 2020. I am now available around Rotterdam.

I am the daughter of an equine veterinarian, and my extensive experience with animals is demonstrated in the skills section. Along with house pets, I have worked with alpacas, primates, and horses. I am motivated to become a petsitter due to the menagerie of beloved pets I have left at home. I miss them enormously! Prior to arriving in the Netherlands, I lived at home with two dogs, one lizard, one bird, one cat and two horses.

I am extremely comfortable with all aspects of their care, many of these animals had been with me since I was a small child. Previously, I have owned tropical fish and a range of farm animals. I can offer a range of services. I am a responsible student, and also babysat and housesat during my entire Bachelor's degree, so I understand how to take care of someone else's home and pets.

Services: I can offer a range of services, and precise needs can be organised with me directly. These include home visits, dog walking, and on occassion overnight stays and pet boarding at my place. Pet sitting - house visits can be arranged one or two times daily, depending on your needs.

Services include feed and water, walking, cleaning of tank/cage/cat litter, giving the pet attention, medication, grooming and bathing. Overnight stays in your home are also possible for pets needing more attention. Dog walking - typically, I walked my dogs at home for 1 hour. This is my usual duration for a walk, however more or less time suits me as well. I am comfortable with up to four well-behaved dogs on a walk at one time.
