I'm a British-German young professional living in the Hague, and I'm looking for some furry pets to brighten up my day as I work from home.

I have been dog-sitting for over two years and have really enjoyed the company of the dogs who have shared my home, either for a couple of days or weeks. These dogs have ranged from large to small, pedigree to rescue and young pups to more senior furry friends. Repeat visitors have become embedded in mine and my boyfriends day-to-day as I take them with me to see friends and run errands. I work from home, so they have plenty of company, however they do need to be able to be alone for a couple of hours as certain tasks won’t allow for me to take them (think meetings, groceries ...etc).

I take them for hour-long walks two times a day at minimum, more upon request, and feed them on the same schedule as they would be at home. I live with my dog-enthusiast boyfriend, and we don’t have any pets of our own.

My 11-year-old golden retriever taught me the importance of taking dogs out for regular walks, being fed on time and in general feeling like they have a friend in the human they depend on. Each dog has a certain routine they're used to, and I aim to replicate it as much as possible to make them feel at home and taken care of.

I'm open to your wishes and concerns because you know your pet best.

On dog-walking services: includes a min. hour-long walk, towards calmer and more green spaces and parks if present around your area, and dogs are not let off the leash unless the owners express that they’d prefer it and trust their dogs adequately.
