About Nina
Hi there!
I am Nina, an experienced fosterer and dog-sitter offering dog sitting, dog boarding, dog walking and home visits.
About me: I have grown up with my family dog Cheddar, but after moving to London for university I couldn't take him with me. After graduating, I moved to Mexico with my partner to work as an English teacher, and as COVID hit, we decided to volunteer as a foster home for a local charity. This rewarding and touching experience involved taking care of 3 dogs who had experienced a traumatic past - abandonment, violence and dog fights. Thanks to this experience, I gained better understanding of dog psychology, in particular of anxious dogs, and learned to create a safe environment for my dogs: providing a safe space for Ellie, who had seperation anxiety, being patient and calm for Kira, who was in constant pain due to her health issues and missed her newborn puppies when they were adopted, and teaching Sam to slowly confront her fears, successfully helping her progress from fear of exiting our home to confidently and excitedly awaiting walks to the park.
More recently, I moved to Amsterdam to build my life, and for now, I can't bring Sam (who we adopted) here with me. Therefore, I offer dog-walking and dog-sitting services to help your dog feel calm and cared for when you're on holiday or busy with work. I usually dog sit and dog walk dogs individually, unless the dogs know each other previously and I know they get on well. I don't currently have dogs at home, so if your doh doesn't like other dogs or animals, my house is a safe space. Equally, I follow all the instructions you give me to ensure your dog keeps to their usual routine.
Please feel free to get in touch with me! I would love to arrange a meet and greet before you decide to choose me as your dogsitter / dogwalker. I also speak Polish, Spanish, Italian and a bit of Dutch if it's easier to communicate this way.
