Ellen

Hi there! My name is Ellen, I am a biology student who has
been living in Rotterdam for 5 years. I am originally from Zimbabwe where I
grew up on a farm surrounded by animals and of course many pets. I have loved
animals my whole life and have had many dogs, cats, birds, and hamsters as
pets. Since moving to the city I really miss this aspect of my life, however, I
cannot fully commit to a pet myself yet. So, I would be more than happy to look
after your pet for some time and would treat it as my own!  

When I am not studying, I enjoy walking around Rotterdam and
especially spending time in the parks in the summer. So, it would be awesome to
have a companion for these days spent both indoors and outdoors.  

I have had Labradors and Dachshunds (sausage dogs), and
rescue dogs as pets since I was a child. I also rescued a kitten when I was in
high school and a Senegal parrot. I was always involved in the animal’s daily
care and training and love cuddling and playing with dogs and cats.  

On top of my years of experience with animals, I have done
an internship in a veterinarian clinic in Zimbabwe where I stood in on
surgeries and took care of the animals in boarding. I also volunteered at many
shelters in Zimbabwe where we helped with the daily tasks at hand.
