My name is Rafaela Vergara. I am 21 years old from Quito Ecuador. I am currently studying at University College Maastricht, political science and international law. I really enjoy going for walks to nice outdoors areas near my house such as Hoge Forten and Fort St Pieter. I would love to go with the company of animals.
I have a lot of free time to do so, therefore I can take dogs for long walks from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
I would love to become a pet sitter; I grew up owning multiple dogs and I used to walk dogs back home quite often. The hardest part of moving so far away from home, believe or not, is to be away from my dogs since the presence of an animal has been always there and now, I miss it. It is fair to say I love dogs and I can easily interact with them. This also comes from my experience with rescue dogs. I have helped rescue organizations with foster dogs and I have been part of the personality rehabilitation process. Therefore, I know how to interact with dogs with difficult personalities.
In my services I include long walks from 30 minutes to 2 hours. If I am dealing with higher energy dogs, I like to do some interval running to help them release all that wonderful energy. I would also love to do home visits and dog sit at owner’s homes, I have a flexible schedule, so I am free during the week as well. I would be willing to visit mornings or afternoons for long hours ranging from 2 – 6 hours. I am able to provide dogs with lots of love and play time, giving them my full attention. I genuinely enjoy the company of dogs and other furry friends, that is why I will not only provide excellent care services, but dogs would enjoy spending time with me as well.
Rafaela took care of my Eddy for the whole day and night and he loved it! She sent updates and pictures and he felt really good in her hands 🥰
Always an amazing experience ❤
My skills include being able to handle difficult dogs. I know how to respect boundaries of dogs that are more independent. I am also good with very energetic dogs, I know how to help them release the extra energy, for example doing a little interval running during walks help the dog be more at ease at home. I am not a professional but this has been sort of my life owning lots of pets at the same time.
