Hi, my name is Laura and I am a 20-year-old dog lover from Estonia. I am currently living in Leiden and studying psychology at the university. I've even thought of using my degree to work with animals in the future. I am very happy here, but there is an essential component missing from my life - interaction with animals! I myself have a dog back home - he's a West Highland white terrier - who I love and miss very much, so I would be happy to take care of your pet/s and keep them happy and loved. My dog is truly the best friend and comforter I've ever had, and I honestly enjoy the company of dogs more than the company of many people. I've always been very involved in my dog's puppy training and general care in additional to just enjoying his company, and I've had to deal with a couple of health issues he has had as well.

I've been an animal lover from a very young age even before my parents agreed to get a dog - I had rabbits, I did horseback riding for years, and looked after my friends', relatives' and neighbours' dogs, cats, turtles and hamsters while they were on trips. My grandmother and my cousin both had dogs that passed away recently, so I have also been involved in the care of older dogs, while I have lots of experience with puppies as well, as my family and me also fostered an Airedale terrier puppy for a couple of weeks. I've looked after dogs at horse stables and competitions, and I also volunteered in an animal shelter back home as a dog walker.

Even though I do have some experience with bigger dogs, I am mainly used to smaller and medium-sized dogs, although every dog is different and I am open to working something out with bigger dogs as well! I have the most experience with terriers.

Even though dogs are my favourite animals in the whole world, I love all animals.. In the past couple of years, I have fallen more and more in love with cats and have been taking care of my boyfriend's cat a lot, so I would be happy to look after cats, rodents, rabbits or any other pets you may have. I also know the struggle of trying to find a friendly and trustworthy pet-sitter, as we have travelled a lot with my family in the past and needed someone to look after our dog, so I am motivated to offer the best service possible.

Due to my current living situation, I cannot bring your dog/s to my place, but I am happy to look after them in your home, or take them on fun walks. I am generally a very active and sporty person, so I will enjoy giving your dog/s a fun and challenging walk that will be rewarding to both of us.

My study schedules change frequently so I may be available at different times each week, but generally I am free in the mornings and evenings or at night, and for weekends it depends on how busy I am during that time period.

Currently I do not have too many classes, so I can be available quite frequently.
