Ioana

My name is Ioana and I am a Law Masters student (Public International Law) at Leiden University, coming from beautiful Romania. I am a 25 years old, responsible, clean and a very social person. I focus a lot on my studies, but nature is my good friend and spending time with animals is my favourite way to take a break from the chaos of everyday life.

I have always been very responsible and patient with animals. I am very organized and I like things to be done as close to perfection as possible. I am calm and I seem to attract dogs everywhere I go. I never get tired of playing with them and I have the tendency to inspect my dog very carefully each day to make sure he is in a good health condition. I can walk dogs, feed them, bath them, play with them or just keep them company. Walks usually take me 40 to 60 minutes. Home visits (where I play, bath, feed or keep them company) can last up to one hour.

Ever since I was little I remember reaching to every dog I saw on the street. At some point my doctors told my mother I might have a dog allergy. This made me very sad and mostly angry, so I told them that better not be true because I would still get lots of dogs when I’ll grow up, even if there is no cure for this at all. In the end, it proved that I was not allergic to them, so my parents gave me a Bichon frise (Kiki) for Christmas, whom I’ve been loving and caring for for 13 years. He’s been the one helping me through hard times or during exams, just by sitting close to me and making me happy with his presence and silent understanding. I feel the need to share my huge amount of love for dogs with others also. They instantly put me in a good mood and make me remember about the beautiful things in life. The way they dedicate all their lives to their owners is the reason for which we should all respect and love them unlimited.
