Kailin

Hello! My name is Kailin and I am from Dublin, Ireland. I am 25 years old studying Environmental Psychology in Groningen, but since I am living abroad, I am seriously missing my pets at home! My whole life I have always grown up around dogs and cats and cannot imagine living without them. I have had 2 dogs my entire life (jack russell and beagle), and have had 6 cats in my house at one time! I could spend my whole day just with my pet as they bring me so much joy.

I learned my love of animals from my very caring mother who loves animals more than anything, therefore, she cooks dinners for the stray foxes around my house in Ireland and feeds any animal that comes to her garden. I am grateful to have grown up in an environment that loves animals this much, as I think caring for animals is a really important quality to have and one of the best things about life :) 

Also, I have work experience at the DSPCA (Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and therefore have spent a lot of time taking care of animals that are not my own and made them feel comfortable in shelters by playing, feeding them, cuddling, walking, and cleaning them and their kennels/toys.

Overall, animals are a huge part of my life and I wish to work with them in the future, as I always want to take care of them. As much as I love living in Groningen, I truly miss my pets at home everyday and have never lived without them, so I would love to help pet owners out by taking care of your pets whenever you need the help!
