My name is Sara Henriques and last year I moved to Holland from Portugal. I am a happy mother, a yoga teacher and a slow-fashion designer and creator. And, of course, I love pets! Since I was a child I always lived with animals, such as a cat, dogs, rabbits, fishes and hamsters. I moved to Holland with my family: João, who is my husband, our daughter and our dog (you can see us together in one of the photos). Our dog is João's first dog, but in the past he also had hamster, squirrel, snake, rabbits and fishes. João also volunteered in Portugal for a few months in the animal shelter association "Animarco".
As we have a male dog, we can only accept steralized female dogs.
Back in Portugal he was living with another female dog and they got along very well. He really enjoys the company of other dogs as he is 2 years old and quite playful.
He is also used to be around small animals such as rabbits, as we have two. Unfortunately we have not found a way to bring them here yet. So for now we only have one male medium size dog as a pet.
Also, I work from home, so your pet will be most of the times with me around, unless when I have to pick up my daughter from school. And that is quite fast.
Our house has two floors and your pet will spend most of his time on the ground floor as the bedrooms are upstairs and we usually don't let our dog come up. The place I work is on the ground floor too, right next to the living room, as you can see in the photos. So, even if I am working I will always be close to your pet.
I will take excellent care of your pet and will walk as much times needed, minimum 3 times a day for 20 minutes. Around our house we have lots of nature where the dogs can walk leashed or unleashed. Plus, we have a fully fenced medium size garden, as you can see in the picture. The only way to get out of the garden is through the door which is always locked.
Pets are allowed on the sofa but it is better if it's possible for you to bring their own bed, pillow or blanket. Whatever they are used to. If you are looking for me to take care of a smaller animal that lives in a box, such as birds or rabbits, it is better for you to bring their own box. In case of rabbits, I can also let them out of the box for some time and be with them in the garden. But only if your rabbit is friendly and easy to catch.
