Hello, thanks for visiting my profile! :)

My name is Gemma and I am originally from the UK. Put simply, and as it says in my headline, I am completely passionate about pets and animals in general. As I unfortunately cannot have my own pet here in Amsterdam, I am looking for the opportunity to spend time with, and care for as many animals as possible while thier families are away.

Since leaving the UK 5 years ago, I have lived in China, Germany and Amsterdam. During my time in China, I used to rescue homeless and sick animals from the street, raise money for their vets bills, and find them loving forever homes. I also used to regularly foster animals that had been taken in by the local vets, until suitable long-term arrangements could be found.

Aside from growing up with pets in my own home, and fostering and rehousing various animals in China, I also have looked after the pets of friends and neighbours in the UK whe they have been away on holiday. This includes staying at peoples houses to care for their dogs, and dropping by regulalrly to feed and spend time with people's cats.

I cannot take pets into my home as it violates my housing contract, however I am open to dog walking, overnight stays at the owners home, day sitting, and/or stopping by to feed and care for people's cats. I can work remotely and occassionally attend in person university classes so I have a lot of free time to spend with a pet, and have a very flexible schedule.
