I work mostly remote, except one day in a week is usually reserved for office. This gives me the chance to pickup the side hustle of cat/dog sitting. I consider it mutually beneficial- helping the neighbourhood furry friends, and in the mean time arranging myself some off-screen outdoor time. The fresh air (probably) even helps to boost my actual work productivity. Since it's a side job, I only cover the Ijburg neighbourhood so that it's not too overwhelming to travel by bike. So far my services include cat sitting, dog walking, dog daycare.

What can you expect?

Cat sitting is usually 30 min including adding food/ water, cleaning litter, playing and petting. I can also water the plants if needed.

Dog walking: one walk ~30min in the morning, during lunch time, or afternoon. At least 3 days ahead booking is preferred, so that I can arrange my schedule around it.

Dog daycare: standard daycare covers by default the work hours, roughly 0900-1800. Extra time (>1h) can be requested beforehand- this is to avoid conflict with other evening plans. Walking is of course included during the daycare.

NB, I do also accept overnight boarding but only with returning dogs, at least a few times walking or daycare beforehand. It's better for both dogs and humans;) Thanks for understanding.

I truly enjoyed all the time spent with cats and dogs from the experience on pawshake. It has been a great pleasure to interact with my furry clients. They're smart and loving, and communicating with them is so easy and pleasant. Their energy brings out great happiness, it's a real gift from nature. My parents have a corgi, he is playful and endearing, too bad he's far far away and I miss him very much. Hopefully soon I will have a dog of my own.
