If you would like a welcoming and loving family home for your dog while you are away or at work, then please get in touch! I am an experienced dog sitter (along with my husband, and daughters, aged 17, 14 and nine) and, until now, I have looked after the pets of many, many friends. (We are a British family, who have lived in The Hague for the past six years and have helped out many of our friends in caring for their pets who remain here, while they return home or go on holiday).

We have a golden retriever, called Leo (14 months old) and we also have two guinea pigs. We live in the Vogelwijk area of The Hague and are a mere five minutes walk from the beach. We also live close to many other, lovely areas for dog walking. We are a very active family and, so, a stay with us will ensure plenty of lovely walks! The pictures on my profile show you some of the walks we have taken on the nearest beach, with one of our canine visitors, as well as my youngest daughter who is a tireless playmate for them.

I work from home and so I am around the house for any doggy visitors and they will have my constant company. They will not be left alone for long periods. I offer not only a daily dog sitting service but dog boarding while you are on holiday and daily dog walking if required. With dog walking, I am happy to be advised by the owners as to how much walking their dog requires (every dog is different), be it one short walk or a couple of two hour walks per day!

Our house is a typical Dutch, townhouse with a small, but totally secure, back garden (and which is, admittedly taken up with a trampoline but still has plenty of space for dogs to sniff!) Dog visitors may have access to that at all times. Typically, dogs visiting us stay downstairs, but they are not prevented from exploring the other three floors of the house. Again, though, I am happy to accommodate owners' wishes as to where their dog stays in the house. If you prefer your dog to stay downstairs in your own house, I will implement that rule too.

If your dog stays with us they will be treated as a member of our family and made very welcome. I am happy to try and provide a ‘home from home’ environment as much as possible and treat your dog as you would treat them yourself.
