Marieke

We are Marieke (38) and DJ (36) and are both working part-time and sometimes at home. DJ is a freelance lawyer (Privacy and ICT). DJ is crazy about dogs and also motorcycles. Marieke works as a content creator. She is a big nature lover and goes on her racing bicycle into the polder and does yoga. She also likes taking pictures with her Canon also sometimes of the pets she visits. So if you are lucky yet get a great shot of your pet. We both are crazy about our cat Mojo (14), he loves to sit on top of us all day if he can

and our

rescue Ziggy is also great.

We cannot bring your pet to our home because Mojo will riot. But we can come to you. Sometimes we will come together, sometimes either one is available. We also have a car so sometimes we take our host dogs to the Amsterdamse Bos for a good long walk or to the beach, as it is one of our favourite places. Always with the owner's prior permission, of course.

We can be very busy with work and sometimes we have more time for ourselves. “Het is rennen of stilstaan" as we say in Dutch. And then we would love to take care of your pets. We spend a lot of time on the computer so taking the dog out for a long walk or playing with your cat is our pleasure. We have been very active on Pawshake for 2 years already and have taken care of many different pets, from tiny kittens to puppies.

We always take time to discuss with the owner how much time the pets need and do an extensive meet and greet before we start.

We do it also for our own pleasure so if we have time, we are playing and walking for hours. So a walk can vary from half-hour to hours but we make sure the pets get what they need. If I can I take dogs to the park, Beatrixpark and Vondelpark are my favourite spots. Marieke can do sleepovers but only if it is in Amsterdam and a maximum of 4 days.
