Hello fellow pet lovers ☀︎!
My name is Riley and I moved to the Netherlands this past year from the United States. I'm currently studying for my MSc here in Amsterdam. Growing up, animals have always been an important part of my life; not only has my family always had pets but I also worked in the animal health field before moving to the Netherlands. I found that it is challenging to own a pet myself as a student. I have lived with cats and dogs my whole life and, after moving, my pets are one of the things I miss the most.
During my bachelor's degree, I did a lot of work house sitting and dog walking in order to stay connected to animals while I lived away from my pets. I can provide references from them if you’d like. I have the most experience watching dogs and cats; however, I have also worked with rodents and reptiles as well. The size of your pet doesn't matter to me, I can work with big or small dogs. Additionally, I have worked with aggressive animals and difficult dogs to walk before so don't worry. For animals I don’t have the most experience with, I’m a fast learner and am guaranteed to love your pet.
I also have experience administering medication to dogs and cats in nearly all forms. When I was a teenager, my dog required that I administered two daily insulin shots and oral medication. I've sat for animals that require eye drops and creams as well. Additionally, I am very familiar with the different types of medication for animals from my previous work in animal health. Trust that I can take care of any medical needs your pets may have.
I understand the pain of missing and worrying that your pets are well taken care of while you're away. And I promise to treat your babies with the same love and attention I would treat my own. Expect updates and pictures of our time together. I know that your animal and I will make a purr-fect match!
