In Amsterdam, I voluntarily dog-sat my friend’s dog every Tuesday, providing consistent care and companionship. This regular commitment allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of dogs’ needs and behaviors, complementing my earlier two-month experience dog-sitting my cousin’s dog in Istanbul. While I have previously owned other pets—including cats, turtles, and birds—these experiences with dogs gave me valuable hands-on skills in responsibility, patience, and building trust with animals. They also strengthened my motivation to one day become a dog owner myself. I am working from home 3 days a week and i am living alone in an apartment i bought in Amsterdam. I have a good set up for a dog to take care in my apartment surrounded by park. (I prefer dog sitting vaccinated dogs). I highly value the special bond between humans and dogs that can be full of loyalty, joy and unconditional love.
