Hi there, I grew up on a farm. I've raised and cared for everything- from goldfish to baby birds, to goats. We always had cats AND dogs when I was growing up. In my professional life, I work as an executive assistant.
I had my own fluffy shadow - he's the cat you see in the pics. His name was Snoose Poose. Unfortunately, he died from a brain aneurism in his sleep suddenly on 2 January. He was 14 years old. I miss him and having "animal energy" around the house terribly, but I'm not ready to have another pet just yet, so a friend suggested I become a part time pet sitter 🙂
I'd love to welcome your pet into my home. I have a small apartment, with a balcony. It's on the first floor and looks onto a interior courtyard area. For dogs that need walkies, I live close to the Vondelpark and can work from home so they can have company all day. For cats, I have a litter-box, beds and scratching posts. I'd also be open to welcoming exotic pets too, I've had limited experience with these (corn snake only) so I would need some guidance but I adore reptiles of all kinds.
I have not administered anything more than pill-based medication to dogs and cats, but if your animal has special needs, I would be more than happy to work with you and learn their needs to ensure they remain happy and healthy while they stay with me.
Feel free to drop me a message with any questions you may have. I look forward to chatting with you and meeting your pet-baby!
We are super grateful to Karen for taking such good care of our cat Winston. Normally we would have someone come to our place while we are away to care for our cat but this time had to relocate him. Karen was the perfect host, helping Winston settle in to her place. He can be a nervous cat so Karen’s extra TLC was well appreciated. We got regular updates and were so pleased to have found such a great sitter while we were away.
Karen was really flexible and communicative. My dogs had a good time with her! :)
