Hi, I'm Mai!

I'm a photographer originally from Finland and have been living in Amsterdam for almost four years now. I did my Master's degree here in Amsterdam at UvA, and I loved the city so much I decided to stay. In Helsinki I grew up with many cats in the family and regularly looked after the dogs and cats of friends and relatives. I have always been around lots of animals; cats, dogs, horses, bunnies. I miss spending time with animal friends so pet sitting seems like the perfect way to look after some fur balls before finally getting my own again.

I have a soft spot for cats but despite what my photos might suggest I also love dogs very much. I know my way around the city and find fun spots to take dogs for walks all the time. Animals tend to like me and I remember every single animal friend I've made 💛

In Finland I was often looking after cats with illnesses (also some of our own cats had chronic illnesses like thyroid problems and epilepsy) and am quite experienced with giving cats medicine. I've adopted older cats in my life and given them plenty of love and care during their last years.

As a pet sitter in general I'm reliable and easy to communicate with, and will take care of your pets as if they were my own! I can host both cats and dogs at my place or pet sit where you live (daily visits and overnight). I live with my lovely partner in a spacious house in east. He is often working at his studio so it'll be mostly me spending time with your pets. We are both up for meeting you and your pet(s) before committing to anything of course!

I work on photography projects and ceramics at the moment so my schedule is flexible. I spend a lot of time at home doing editing etc., and can easily stay with your pets and supervise them 24/7 if needed. If I'm pet sitting at your house I will keep the place clean and take care of your plants as well while you're away! 🪴
