Hi there, I'm Angela, and myself and my husband Mark are a pet-loving couple and have always had animals in our lives. We have two teenaged children, a rabbit, and a very friendly Labrador, five-year-old Penny.

I work in communications, often from home. My husband works at a nearby international school. During the holidays we have plenty of time to care for your pet in leafy Amstelveen where we have two rabbit hutches and are spoiled for dog walking areas.

What motivates us to pet sit is that we have come to Pawshake as customers/clients, seeking a home environment for our own pets. Our family-member dog was stressed staying in a kennel environment in the past. She is not used to a lot of noise and a lot of dogs and we sympathise with other pets and owners seeking reassurance and a 'home from home' experience for their pet too.

Dog care day/overnight:

We have dog walking areas on our doorstep (off the leash, on the leash and at the nearby Amsterdamse Bos). In addition we have a lovely stretch of lawn by our home which is ideal for puppy training/small dogs and there is a lovely tree-lined walking area at the back of our home where we can take your pet for a longer stroll. We take your pet dog for three walks a day (or more as needed) including at least one full exercise/run either with our dog or seperately. We live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood, and we know the names of most of our neighbor dogs. Your dog will be spoiled by the affection of all family members.

Rabbit/gerbil care:

We are delighted to look after your rabbit/s as well as we do our own. We have a delux outdoor hutch on two levels which is disinfected between each use. We are also able to home indoor rabbits or smaller pets. in their own enclosure. I walk my rabbit on nearby grass with its harness.

We're happy to send regular photo updates of your pet hanging out with us and will care for your pet as if they were our own.

Your pet will enjoy the full run of our ground floor, access to the fully fenced and secured tiled back garden (with outside kennel or hutch for summer days) and a stretch of lawn right beside our house. Your pet will receive a lot of affection, kindness and care in our English-speaking household.
