~ About me ~
Hello to all🦝
I'm Juliet, I'm 20 years old, I'm from France and I work as an animal caretaker at Stichting AAP in Almere (where I live), so I'm pretty familiar with the animal world 😁!
After a training in Ethology (biological study of animal behaviour), I did a trial period in the Bandia WildLife Sanctuary in Senegal where I took care of lion cubs and made visitors aware of the way of life of this species and the dangers it faces today. But in the end, I moved to the Netherlands for a one-year contract at AAP, where I take care of a wider variety of animals (from small rodents to primates, felines and even raccoons, which is sooooo rewarding) and where the animals will be rehabilitated afterwards (so this structure is more in line with my values than the one in Senegal which was more tourists-based 😊).
Outside of work, I have of course already walked dogs, kept cats, rabbits, rats, even young humans and houses 😁...
In short, I am a great animals lover, and I love ALL kind of animals (I even have trouble killing mosquitoes).
My job, which is above all my passion, has taught me to take care of a wide range of animals, which I hope could give you confidence if you entrust me with your little companions 🐈⬛🐕🦺🦜🐇
~ My home ~
I live in a house with a garden and share it with two other animal caretakers with whom I work!
We have a rather large space, and as we live in the green part of Almere (De Kemphaan), there are many green areas ideal for walks very close to the house.
Inside, most of the doors leading to the outside are equipped with a "double door" system (a door leading to a mini-corridor at the end of which another door leads to the outside [you can see the picture in my gallery]) which is very practical to prevent the escape of animals that have to stay inside.
However, outside, the garden is open to the street, so it is imperative to be present to supervise the animal(s) in the garden.
~ Availability ~
I work from Sunday to Thursday, from 8.30am to 5.30pm, so I am available full time on Friday and Saturday. Working less than two minutes from home, it is also possible for me to drop by during my lunch break to feed/care for an animal that does not require constant presence every day of the week, at least three times a day.
If you need full days on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays, one of my pet care roommates has a different schedule and would be available to watch your pet(s) (and we'll arrange to split the pay between us) but no one is available full time on Wednesdays in the house.
Doggy day care and Dog walks always have a flexible cancellation policy:
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Juliet has taken wonderful care of my special need senior dogs. When I picked them up they were happy and relaxed. When I took them back the next day they run into the house like they couldn't wait to be with her again.
The house is beautiful and has a lot of green around. I highly recommend her.
Elsa were in really good hands, will surely use Juliet again. Tops 🙌
