Ghost is actually the opposite than his name suggests. This chinchilla (no, he is not a ferret…) is completely unhinged - from day one he is curious about everything and everyone, not scared of anything, and always sticking his little snout through the cage bars to sniff if it’s your finger or maybe a tasty stick 😏. He does not like cuddles but loves climbing up my arm (and even sit on my head during the play time).
Born in 2023, Ghost is still just a baby who is a sucker for a tasty treat (give him a stick and he will turn into a beaver 😂).
Ghost lives in a private cage next to with his buddy, Bandit. Bandit lost his step-brother recently and we hope to bond Ghost and Bandit so they can live together in the villa soon.
Chinchillas are crepuscular, which means they are mostly active at dawn and dusk, so this little cutie comes alive around 8 PM. Besides, chinchillas are rather low maintenance on the daily basis - their diet is very simple (granular, fresh hay and water mainly), they need a bit of a cage refresh, and should take a sand bath every couple of days. We do not expect that you would be providing him with the playtime, thought, as that requires a whole set-up, and we usually just go away for only couple of days.
